Kevin Scott sings the jazz.
Kevin Scott is a jazz-influenced singer songwriter traveling around the country. Born at the tender age of 26, his songs draw influence from such disparate sources as Tom Waits, Bill Withers, and Oscar Peterson.
Taking inspiration from the Beats and other wandering nomads, he’s embarked on an around-the-country pilgrimage, all the while playing songs and collecting stories.
His companion is a guitar more damaged than him, on which he plucks rusty jazz-tinged melodies. His lyrics weave personal stories of heartbreak with a search for discovery played out against the universal backdrop of Americana.
